Stop Summer Slacking!

We are half way through August and a lot of you are squeezing every last bit of summer out before the cold breeze of fall set in.  This month is all about getting to the last of the summer pool parties, taking trips to the beach, and hitting up amusement parks and back yard BBQs. Unfortunately, this is all part of summer slaking! Don’t give up on exercise because it’s hard to stay consistent during the last bit of summer fun. This is the start of the next four months of your year, which are the hardest, and the season where most people gain a lot of weight.
Now that I have your attention, here is the solution. When you are home between trips, don’t skip the gym. Instead, hit the gym twice a day if you can -- once for cardio and once for weight training, and eat very clean because you know it’s hard to do so on vacation. When you are away, try and stay in a hotel with a gym and a pool. Use the amenities to your advantage and get up a little earlier and get that workout in. If you stay active while on vacation you will be able to indulge in the fun with a lot less guilt.
This week’s workout is an awesome calorie burning and lower body toning routine that will test your limits. Have fun and try it a few times this week.
